T.J. Walsh writes about Pleading Infinity
"Pleading Infinity is a solo play about Bob Donovan, Hollywood Screenwriter. Bob is a good guy, you'd like him. He's a screenwriter who lives in Los Angeles and so is continuously frustrated by the position of the writer in Hollywood. During the course of the play Bob is speaking to a good friend and reveals several unique experiences he's had that have led to his understanding of his place in Hollywood and finally, his place in the universe. Bob is a story teller, he pitches stories for a living, and in these funny and moving stories Bob reveals himself, slowly but inevitably.
In Pleading Infinity Bob Donovan, Hollywood Screenwriter, faces close encounters, near death experiences, ghosts, miraculous births, the Hollywood meetings from Hell, the creation of the universe and, finally, the meaning of life. Pleading Infinity is not cynical, but rather looks at life as a mystery to be navigated and I have great affection for Bob’s dilemmas. The production needs are a chair and table. My goal is to fill the space, make people laugh, tell a story, and move the audience."
